Walking in the light of God

“Our God is merciful and tender. He will cause the bright dawn of salvation to rise on us.” (LUKE 1:78)

People reject God's message of eternal life through Christ and in so doing kept away from the light as good and righteous. They did not know that in Jesus was life; and the life was the light of men. This light is figurative for relief.

THE LIGHT OF GOD SHINES

On the righteous.
Righteousness or rectitude is "the quality of being morally right or justifiable." When one is portrayed as righteous, he or she is acting in accord with divine or moral law and is free from guilt or sin. Thus the light of God springs forth abundantly for them, who alone can and well may rejoice in the leadership of the sovereign Lord. "Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart." (Psalms 97:11).

The upright.

There's a quote which says, “Surround yourself with really upright people. I think that's an important thing. Because the people you surround yourself are a reflection of you.” Uprightness and upfront integrity describes God, the only one who could require the pleasure of total loyalty and close genuine attention to the straight direction of the law Friendship with the heavenly Father was to walk in an upright way guided by his upright word through the sincerity of an upright heart since wholeness or integrity of heart is a close counterpart to uprightness. "Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous." (Psalms 112:4)

 
 

THE LIGHT OF GOD SHOWS

Success.

More than other idols, personal success and achievement may lead to a sense that we ourselves are God, that our security and value rest in our own wisdom, strength and performance. But this not what is meant by success in the Scriptures. God's measure of success involves the obedience and faithfulness of his people to Him, regardless of antagonism and personal cost. His measure of success is whether or not we are being loyal to Him in our personal relationship with Him and in our life, and whether we are achieve His goals and purposes for our life. " What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. " (Job 22:28)

Happiness and rejoicing.

We are happy and rejoice that there is a God; rejoice that he is such as he is; rejoice in his favor; and we find our highest joy in him. For example, we should make with way we start our day right with gladness for this will greatly determines the quality of the rest of it. An optimistic view does wonders for our soul and for those around us while a negative attitude creates further unhappiness. A complaining spirit, a comparing spirit that produces jealousy and covetousness and a condemning spirit along with a cluttered life brings much restlessness to one’s inner and outer life. "Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!" (Psalm 32:11)

THE LIGHT OF GOD SECURES

Good life.

A popular want of human beings today is the hunger for the "good life." But the good life means different things to different people. For some, it means a life that is free of any pain or suffering. Others seem to feel that the good life is a life of materialism — the materialistic maxim is, "he who dies with the most toys wins." Others know that such approaches are futile and fleeting, and strive for higher objectives by defining the good life as a human quest for character, values, knowledge, ethics, and higher standards. But for Christians, the good life can only come when we surrender our will to our Lord and Master. "All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast." (Proverbs 15:15)

Knowledge.  

The righteous man possesses an understanding and his heart is beautified by the light of purity, diffusing a pleasant soft glow, around him in his conversation; and his spirit is cheered with the light of joy and consolation from the countenance of God. " The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day." (Proverbs 4:18)

On account of the affectionate mercy of our God, the compassion that moved the heart of God is thought of, and is to be accomplished through his instrument as it breaks through the darkness like the sunrise connecting itself with such predictions as, “The glory of the Lord hath risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1), “The sun of righteousness shall rise” (Malachi 4:2). amen

Finding Jesus

"On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh." (MATTHEW 2:11 New International Version )

A group of Persian caste regarded as astrologers or wise men came to know about a special sign, a miraculous star that announced the birth of a king. This star led them to Bethlehem. Their caravan arrived in Jerusalem and the whole city was troubled by their news. These men sought the king born but King Herod the Great wanted to destroy this king. It is no surprise since Herod alone wanted to bear the title “King of the Jews” although he was an Idumean, a descendant of Esau. The Magis arrived later than the shepherds and by then, Joseph, Mary and Jesus had moved from the temporary dwelling where the Lord was born.

THOSE WHO FOUND JESUS

SOUGHT HIM. (V2)

They are not very different from you or me but one thing is sure: they are touched by God to do a special purpose of discovering His begotten son. Being aware of this would only come from them, and still less could they anticipate the surprise. God wants to draw forth a noble testimony from those called about their encounter with the Messiah. "For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened" (MATTHEW 7:8). Those who took notice of Jesus in their lives are with an honest purpose.

READ THE SCRIPTURES AND KEPT ITS PROMISES (V5)

When we show our meekness before the Scriptures and admitting it as having been given to us by the living God, it will lead us to salvation. Even though many of us came to Christ by preaching about Him from another person, the way of salvation is clearly revealed by simply reading the Bible (John 3:16; Rom. 10:9) and we are all saved by putting our trust in the truth of Scripture whether we read it ourselves or are taught it by someone else (1 Peter 1:23). “Does not Scripture say that the Messiah will come from David's descendants and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?" (JOHN 7:42)

RECOGNIZED AND WORSHIPED HIM (V2)

The Book of Hosea, in the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament), urges God's people simply to acknowledge him, and that good things will follow if they do.  To "acknowledge,” In its broader sense, it involve implication of being open to the truth, of facing the facts.  Each person has more choice about what he acknowledges than about what we know. Acknowledging Jesus, in the sense of facing the facts about him, can lead us to admire and stand in respect:  the very thing the author of Hosea, says what God is looking for. The same can be given to Jesus, being God's only begotten son." Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, 'you shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'" (MATTHEW 4:10)

THOSE WHO DID NOT FOUND JESUS

Troubled along with company (v3)

When Herod the king had heard of Jesus' birth, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. It is understandable why Herod was troubled, considering that if the baby was the Jewish Messiah he might over throw him. At that time the Jews believed that the Messiah would overthrow the Romans. But why would all of Jerusalem be troubled? In John 11:48, it says, "If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation". One bible commentary places it as the Romans being ruthless in quelling insurrection, besides anyone having anything to do with it would be deposed. At that time, a Roman prefect was appointed--Pilate was one in a succession of them. The Herodian Dynasty ruled, yet the 'procurator' could summon the Roman legions, making any attempt to rule meaningless. If referring the Jewish leadership, it makes perfect sense then that the whole city would be troubled.

Curious but without faith (V7)

Curiosity is a strong desire to learn about something. In Psalms, we see a strong desire to understand God and His work and Creation. Naturally, curiosity can lead one off track like the Prodigal Son. The young man tells his father to give him his inheritance then immediately sets off to see what is in the world. He was soon broke and stranded far from home with no one to help him. Curiosity led him to sin against his father and to make poor life decisions. Curiosity can be a good thing if one hears the Gospel and wants to know who Jesus is by faith. “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." HEBREWS 11:6

EASILY DECEIVED (V16)

Those who do not know Jesus will almost believe any wild-eyed fanatic, Hollywood movie depicting the end of the world, but will desist from listening that Jesus Christ existed. One is warned: the fog of deception was so thick that this will always and almost consume the unbeliever and they won’t recognize what’s upon them! As Jesus said a long time ago, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” This warning is for you and me that we must not be deceived about war, pestilence, famine and other unconscionable calamities and be confused. For those who did not found Jesus and believed in him, such idea of becoming aware of the Lord is an absurd doctrine and ridiculous. “At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.” (MATTHEW 24:23)

You can tell a lot about a person who found Jesus in their lives. Those who have found him have dedicated their lives to maintain their gain. Finding Jesus is easy when you search for him for He says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock” (Rev. 3:20). Today, you can find Him at the door of your heart—the core of your existence—waiting to come in. Jesus longs to be in the center of your dreams, thought, and desires. He wants a real relationship with the real you. AMEN

God's obedient servant

“I am the Lord's servant,” said Mary; “may it happen to me as you have said.” And the angel left her. (LUKE 1:38 Good News Translation)

A servant is not always above his master. The word servant is descriptive of a slave in the Old Testament times, a social inferior, it also means a worshipper or a messenger of God. In the New Testament, the word servant is distinctively applied to Christians (ACTS 2:18) and the glorified saints (REVELATIONS 22:3).The King James  Version portrays Mary calling herself the "handmaid" (doo-lay) of the Lord--a female slave. other versions translate the same as servant. The Messiah is the model servant.

GOD'S LOWLY SERVANT

Humbles one's self (ISAIAH 66:2)

God's lowly servant places self as less important than others. He has turned away from the direction of sin. Although sometimes he is discouraged and feels incompetent, God hears his cry and exalts his contrite spirit. The spiritual temple of the heart, though not prevailing the outward place of worship, is God's favorite dwelling.

Bring one's self low (LUKE 18:14)

God's lowly servant always brings himself in low situations that is why he receive God's divine influence upon his heart and he reflects it in his life. He always makes sure to exalt the Lord always that God, in his pleasure, approves on what is in his heart. He serves his fellowmen and receives the blessings for his actions.

GOD'S LAW-ABIDING SERVANT

Keep God's laws (PSALM 119:61)

God's law-abiding servant does not forget His law and fears His word when it speaks into his heart. This more of love in honoring God's law.

Kneels with wobble knees (ACTS 16:29)

This is an act of worship. God's law-abiding servant kneels down  with trembling kneels in submission to God only and not on men, entrusting to Him his problems and difficulties in life and everything what he has done for Him.

GOD'S Loyal SERVANT

Sad for other people's sins (EZRA 9:4)

God's loyal servant offers the right sacrifice of praying for the forgiveness of the transgression of those that had been carried away in sin and at the same time recognizes his own mistakes and does his promise to God to reflect and change his ways too.

With tender heart and weeps before God (2 Kings 22:19)

God's loyal servant has a sensitive heart, that is soft like wax and receptive of impressions; having been "moved", or "trembled" at God in respect, has shown modesty and thus regarded by the Lord for expressive inward remorse, sorrow, and grief of his heart and thus was heard of his cries and prayers.

Everyone hates God's servant but he remains firm and silent when being reviled and persecuted and said of all manner of evil falsely for God's sake. The bad things said of Christ's followers shall be untrue and that they are insulted for Christ's sake. AMEN

Privileged and set apart

“And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” (Luke 1:28 KJV)

.

God does not play favorites. But He does indeed show favor, not for the benefit of the chosen but rather for the benefit of God’s Kingdom. Different forms of favor may come in special approval, attention, kindness, gifts and encouragement. Other times, favor comes in the form of protection or special help in order for us to accomplish something God wants us to do. We might also add the supernatural relief of sufferings, from dangerous situations or from consequences and enemies. A Christian who is highly favored and blessed had a special calling, someone who desired to do God’s will, was willing to pay the cost, and had faith God would do what he promised to do.

A CHRISTIAN HIGHLY FAVORED

Eats the labor of his hands, is happy and well. (Psalm 128:2). It is a blessing to live on the fruits of one's own industry. In temporal blessings the dutiful does not forget the richer blessings of God's grace, which they shall ever enjoy.

.

Given the fruit of his hands; and his own works praise him. (Proverbs 31:31). This is interpreted as the graces of the church, and of all believers, which are the fruits of the Spirit in them, and of their hands, as exercised by them, such as faith, hope, love, humility, patience, and others, will be found to honor and praise; and every such person shall have praise of God.

Enemies fighting against you shall not prevail against you for the Lord is with you to deliver you. (Jeremiah 1:19). Those who hinder you from preaching God’s word stop your mouth, and even take away your life will not prevail against you since the Lord will “hide [you] when they sought for [you], and deliver [you] out of the dungeon and bonds into which he was cast by them.”

A CHRISTIAN HIGHLY BLESSED

All the people will know that you are a righteous man. (RUTH 3:11). You will be known as someone who is good, possessing grace and virtue and having every agreeable qualification in godly knowledge.

.

What you have done will be told in memory of you. (Mark 14:9), in remembrance of you and your work, and in commendation of your faith, love, and duty.

. 

You have done so much work for the Lord. (ROMANS 16:12). Your diligence in God’s work to the very end will help you realize what you hoped for.

.

Since one is highly favored and blessed by God, it means one is graciously accepted, or has obtained grace. To that special and particular favor, in being chosen and singled out from all other people, keep on being one and many people will hold you in the highest regard in love because of your work and you will live in peace with them. AMEN

Coming to Jesus in our weariness

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (MATTTHEW 11:28)

Coming to Jesus is a personal experience that helps us understand the importance of His salvation in our lives. We have to take him for his word in order to have a close intimacy. We come and he will gladly welcome us like a shepherd cares for his flock and then we get healing for our complexities and find strength to encourage others. But our coming to Jesus must not only be at face value. In order to see the real light of Christ’s rest in us, we must set aside a few hindrances in our lives first. We have to do our first part before we receive Jesus’ promise of rest.

SET ASIDE OUR FRAIL WEARINESS

We are to acknowledge our frailty and dependence on Him including those that get in our way and surrender all the difference that displays our failure. All the useless things, the pain and the trouble we get from them. This is important to consider our new benefits. “Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. (ISAIAH 55:2)

Next are our wrong partnerships, allies and connections. If we place a high value of our relationship with God, then we are to stay away from these pressures or severe our ties with them in order to grow and stop being under attack with lost opportunity, misplaced blessing and less confidence and more problems. Ignorance of instruction and rebuke tends us to follow and maintain wrong friends who bring us more complication in life. “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14)

Our sweeping freedom in Christ endowed us kingdom right and values that reflect that God is just. We become His people because of the work of Jesus on the cross. Thus we are assured that we have eternal life now and live with him forever. ”For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (GALATIANS 5:1)

SET ASIDE OUR DISDAINFUL BEHAVIOR

We are to become like ordinary, very plain but radiantly beautiful within as we allow God’s spirit to work within us. We are not to look for praise for ourselves in order to prove our greatness. We must put in absolute awe of God’s power and creativity for we are truly trifling compared with what God has done. We are to cast off our pride and our old sinful habits if we are to experience growth in our rest and be renewed totally. We must be like Moses, meek and unresisting, not wanting to argue and who endures injury with patience and without bitterness. (NUMBER 12:3)

The apostle Paul, in response to the accusation of weakness by the Corinthian church on him, wrote straight into the conflict and presented his position in contrasting his bold and militant self. Like him, we should not be proud but show a kind and gentle quite nature that is not afraid of danger or difficult situations and standing out prominently for Christ. “For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down. (2 CORINTHIANS 13:10)

In the book of Zechariah is found the messianic vision of the coming prince of peace, the triumphant appearance of the humble king; thus taken up by the gospel writers to describe Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. In the New Testament, the messiah came not as a conquering warrior as what the Jews expected but in lowliness and peace. Not like the last kings of Judah and princes of old who rode on chariots and on horses, the messiah rode on an ass (ZECHARIAH 9:9).

SET ASIDE OUR DRUDGERY

We are to set aside our monotonous, boring and unpleasant hard work, eve subjecting ourselves to unfair and dishonest means. “Thus says the Lord: ‘Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls…” (jeremiah 6:16). This means our history and the lessons learned from it. We are to “walk in the light of the Lord.”  Then you will defile our carved idols overlaid with silver and our gold-plated metal images. We will scatter them as unclean things. We will say to them, "Be gone!" (ISAIAH 30:21)

We are to follow (or understand) God’s law that revealed his holy will clearly that ignorance can be no excuse. His commands are understandable and not strange or remote for us. It is in our mouths that we may readily talk about it and on our hearts that we may easily remember. (Deuteronomy 30:11)

With our faith making its victory against the world, we are to guard and obey (conform) in love God’s commands. Jesus has said in John 14:15 that is we love him, we will keep (comply with) his commands. This is the Christian’s power that conquers the world.

Let us all be aware of our weary countenance, our self-preoccupation and do the first step in coming to Christ. At all times, we have to take an obstacle inventory in order to get the true message Jesus wants to work in us. Our union with the Lord gives us that needful rest we replaced with our losing lifestyle. Resting in Jesus gives us satisfaction as well as fulfilling and growing relationship with Him. amen

Walay imposible sa Diyos

            

“Mitubag si Jesus, ‘Ang dili mahimo sa tawo mahimo sa Dios.’ (LUKE 18:27)

.

Ang kaluwasan alang sa tanan pero gikinahanglan  walay mobabag nga kinaugalingong pagbuot, sama sa salapi ug bahandi, aron matagamtam kini sa hingpit. Kung si Ginoong Hesuskristo adunay ipabuhat kanato dili kita mobalibad. Kasagaran ang  atong salapi o bahandi  maghatag kanato ug sayop nga panglantaw ug seguridad sa kinabuhi  ug sa  atong katagbawan niini,  malimot kita  nga adunay mas angay unahon diay pagpangita--ang Diyos hinungdan nga aduna siyay ipakita kanato nga angay natong pamalandongan.

ANG PAGPAKITA SA DIYOS SA IYANG PAGKAGAMHANAN

Aduna ba goy dili mahimo sa Ginoo? (GENESIS 18:14)

Bahin sa pangutana ug si kinsa ang maluwas (MATTHEW 19:25), Si Pedro misulat, “Kon lisod maluwas ang tawong matarong, unsa pa kaha ang wala motuo sa Dios ug ang mga makasasala?” (1 Peter 4:18). Sa mga tawo kini imposible apan ang Diyos adunay mahimo aron mausab ang usa  ka daotan  ug makasasala (Matthew 19:26). Alang sa mga matarong, padayon lamang sa paglakaw sa “masigpit ang ganghaan ug malisod nga dalan paingon sa kinabuhing dayon” (Matthew 7:14) kay nagsaad ang pulong sa Diyos, “…gantihan man dinhi sa kalibotan ang mga maayong tawo” (PROVERBS 11:31).  Karon kung mangutana ka kinsa lamang diay ang maluwas ug sa unsang paagiha? Ang tubag: Maluwas ang imong kinabuhi kung mosalig ka sa Ginoo.” (JEREMIAH 39:18). Siya gayod maoy gasulti niini.

Walay  butang nga lisod para sa Ginoo (Jeremiah 32:17)

Walay butang nga labihan ka katingalahan alang kaniya  ug walay huna-huna nga dili niya makab-ot. Mahimo niyang  buhaton ang tanang butang nga iyang gikahimut-an  kay mahimo niya ang pagtuman sa iyang mga saad  ug tumanon sa iyang mga pulong ang iyang mga  tuyo ug molampos kini. Ang tanan nga naglibot kanato gihimo sa Diyos gikan lamang sa iyang pulong. Kung ihulagway nato ang bantugang magbubuhat, mahimong madasig kita ug mapalalom pa ang atong pagtoo aron sa pagsanta niadtong wala gayod mitoo ug nag-ingon nga imposible ang tanan apan tin-aw kaayo nga walay lisod para sa atong Ginoo.

ANG PAGPAKITA SA DIYOS SA IYANG PAGKA-DIYOS

Dili siya mahibulong (ZECHARIAH 8:6)

Dili malisod sa mata sa Diyos ang tanan tungod kay  siya ang Diyos ang naghatag sa kinabuhi, tinubdan sa tanan ug siya lamang ang makaluwas. Gusto ka ba nga maluwas? Usahay makalibog ug katingalahan sud-ongon ang mga saad sa Ginoo apan sa gisulti na niya ug gibalik-balik pag-ingon: Dili malisod alang kaniya ang gilantaw nato nga lisod.

Sa iyang kabubut-on, makakuha siya sa atong kalisod (MATTHEW 14:36)

Iyang ipabuhat ngadto sa iyang mga pinili ang iyang kabubut-on.  Modungog siya sa atong mga pagtuaw  ug siya gayod mismo ang mosilot sa misupil kaniya. Siya ang angayan nga kahadlukan kay siya balaan  ug adunay gahom sa pagpatay  ug pagtambog ni bisan kinsa ngadto sa impyerno. Makalilisang gayod ang mahulog  sa iyang kamot ug mahukmang sad-an.

Dili kita makasunod sa Ginoo samtang magkinabuhi sa kalibutanong kadato.  Matod sa iyang pulong:  kadtong kadtong buot madato mahiagom sa tintasyon ug malit-ag sa daghang mga binuang ug makadaot nga mga tinguha nga maoy makabanlud kanato ngadto sa kaalaotan ug kalaglagan. Kay ang pagkamahigugmaon sa salapi maoy tinubdan sa tanang pagkadaotan. May mga tawo nga tungod sa kadako sa ilang tinguha nga masapian, nahimulag hinuon sa pagtuo ug nahiagom sa daghang mga kagul-anan (1 Timothy 6:9F). AMEN.

SERMON FOR NOVEMBER 4, 2017

God’s justice and faithfulness

You have wearied the Lord with your words. But you say, "How have we wearied him?" By saying, "Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?" (Malachi 2:17)

Our God of righteousness argues with the scoff of wicked men at the long delay of Jesus’s coming as they have tired his patience by their blasphemous speeches, charging his providence with injustice when they expected outward prosperity and happiness. The same can be told in these last days as Peter predicted that there will also be scoffers who will mock at the promise of Christ’s second coming, (2 Peter 3:3 2 Peter 3:4).

MAKING SENSE OF THIS ARROGANCE
These people flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin (Psalm 36:2)

These people think they are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth (Proverbs 30:12)

These people think they are holy enough, saying, ‘Keep away; don’t come near me, for I am too sacred for you!’ Such people are smoke in God’s nostrils, a fire that keeps burning all day (Isaiah 65:5)

Tinood nga adunay impyerno, mao kini ang kalayo nga walay pagkapalong nga giandam alang sa Yawa ug sa iyang mga anghel (Matthew 25:41). Gitawag usab kini ni Pablo nga ang silot nga mao ang walay kataposang pagkalaglag layo gikan sa presensya sa Ginoo ug sa iyang mahimayaong gahom (1 Thessalonians 1:9). Uban kanila ang mga tawo kansang ang kasuko ug kapungot sa Dios gipahamtang tungod kay naghunahuna lamang sila sa ilang kaugalingon ug nagsalikway sa kamatuoran ug padayong nagbuhat sa daotan. Didto sakiton ug paantuson ang tanan nga nagbuhat ug daotan. (Roman 2:8F). Apil ang mga wala magtagad sa ebanghelyo didto usab itambog. (Matthew 10:15)

Mag-antos ikaw sa kainit (v24) nga masakit pag-ayo ang imong kasingkasing ug magpangagot ang imong mga ngipon. Mao kini ang mahitabo sa mga tawo nga misupil sa Diyos. Dili mangamatay ang mga ulod nga mokutkot kanila o mapalong ang kalayo nga mosakit kanila. Ang  kastigo sa Diyos nga ipahamtang mag-anam sa pagdunot ang ilang unod. Ang kauban nimo dinhi mao kadtong gipapahawa sa Diyos gikan sa iyang presensiya ug iyang gipanghimaraot apil na kadtong mga wala mitoo kang Hesukristo. “Busa miingon ang Ginoong Dios, “Ang akong mga alagad buhong sa pagkaon apan kamo gutomon; magtagbaw sila sa ilimnon apan kamo uhawon; maglipay sila apan kamo pakaulawan;” (Isaiah 65:13)

Adunay pagbaylo sa kahimtang (v26) Mausob ang masinati sa mga nagpatuyang ug tigom ug mga bahandi ug nakapahimulos pag-ayo sa kinabuhi nga hayahay sa kalibutan (Luke 6:24); gani sila nagpuyo sila nga malinawon tungod sa pagpahimulos ug pamintaha  sa uban nga mamatay sila nga dili gani makasinatig pag-antos (Job 21:13); kini sila ang nagsubay sa mga pamaagi nga bangis ug mapintas (Psalm 17:4). “Makita nato dinhi ang pagkamaluluy-on ug pagkaestrikto sa Dios. Estrikto siya niadtong nangapukan, apan maluluy-on kanimo—kon magpabilin ka sa iyang kaluoy. Kay kon dili, putlon ka usab.” (Romans 11:22)

PAGHIMO UG DAKO NGA KAUSABAN SA IMONG

KAUGALINGON ARON DILI MAADTO SA IMPYERNO

Kay malisod ang pagbalhin paingon sa langit (v26). Nag-ingon ang Psalmista “Ang pagkamatarong sa Diyos daw mga habog nga bukid; ang iyang mga hukom sama sa kahiladman sa dagat.(Psalm 36:6). Ang atoa sa impyerno maglisod sa pagtungas kay atoa man sila sa lawom nga bung-aw. Nagsalamin usab kini sa gisangyaw bahin kang Cristo nga gilansang sa krus diin wala dawata sa uban ug gilantaw nga binuang alang pod sa uban hinungdan nga nakatilaw sila sa kasuko sa Diyos. “Ayaw kamo pakighiusa sa mga dili magtutuo, kay dili gayod magkasinabot ang matarong ug ang daotan o mag-ambitanay ang kahayag ug ang kangitngit. Dili gayod magkauyon si Cristo ug si Belial (o Satanas). Kay managsama ba gud ang magtutuo ug ang dili magtutuo? (2 Corinthians 6:14)

Paminaw sa mga pagsangyaw sa pulong sa Diyos (v29) Pagbantay usab sa mga plano sa yawa nga iyang buhaton aron ipanugilon ang sayop nga pagtulon-an. Ang nakasubo niini kay gitagna nga daghan raba ang modawat ug motuman sa hinimo sa kaaway. Magbantay kay hangtod karon mao kini ang gipakaylap ngadto sa kalibutan (Matthew 28:11-15). Daghan sa mga tawo karon nga maglisod sa pagdawat ug pagtoo makakita sa gipangbuhat sa mga mitoo ug misunod ni Jesus ang magplano ug dautan ug manglutos ngadto kanila nga nagbuhat sa buluhaton sa Diyos. (John 11:45-47).

Ang Diyos maoy nagpili sa mga propeta diin gihatag ngadto kaniya ang mensahe ug isulti kini niya ang bisan unsa nga isugo sa Diyos kaniya (Deuteronomy 18:18). Sila nagsusi ug nagpakisayod mahitungod sa kaluwasan ug nanagna sila mahitungod niining gasa nga ihatag sa Dios kanato (1 Peter 1:10).

Si Jesus ug ang mahitungod kaniya ang gisulti sa tibuok Kasulatan, sugod sa mga basahon nga gisulat ni Moises hangtod sa mga sinulat sa tanang propeta (Luke 24:27). Ang gisulti ni Moises og mga propeta mao usab ang gisulti ni Pablo diha sa iyang mga sulat (Acts 26:22). Kinsa kadtong motoo kang Moises motuo usab unta kang Jesus kay nagsulat man siya mahitungod kaniya (JOHN 5:46).

Sa katapusan, sayon ra ang pag-adto sa impyerno. Himoa lang nga mahiuyon ang imong kinabuhi sama niining mga tawo nga gidumtan sa Diyos: sila nga mga talawan, wala magtuo, malaw-ay, mamumuno, makighilawason, salamangkero, nagsimbag mga diosdios ug ang tanang bakakon (Pinadayag 21:8). AMEN

Ang pagkamatinud-anon diha sa grasya sa Diyos

“So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.”

“Busa, mga igsoon, barog nga malig-on ug pabilin diha sa mga gikabiling pagtulon-an ug pamatasan nga among gitudlo kaninyo pinaagi sa wali o sa sulat.” (2 Thessalonians 2:15)

Ang pulong tradisyon (ubang hubad: “gikabiling pagtulon-an” o “pamaagi labot kag Kristo Hesus”) nagkahulugan og usa ka butang nga gipasa gikan sa usa ka generasyon ngadto sa sunod. Ang kamatouran sa ebanghelyo nagsugod sa istorya sa baba nga gisangyaw ni Kristo ug mga apostoles. Gisulat kini kadugayan, paglabay sa panahon, inabagan sa Balaang Espirito. Kining maong tradisyon dili mao ang hinimo sa tawo alang sa relihiyosong katuyuan o pagsimba.

Ang lig-on ug maila nga pagtoo. Pagkugi sa pag-alagad sa Ginoo. Magpadayon  nga lig-on sa pagtuo ug dili matarog sa paglaom nga nahuptan sa pagdawat sa ebanghelyo nga giwali ngadto sa tanang mga tawo. Magmatngon usab aron dili madala sa mga sayop sa mga malapason sa balaod ug mahulog gikan sa lig-on nga baroganan. Dili gayod magtapol kondili magmadasigon diha sa Espiritu sa pag-alagad sa Ginoo kay kitang tanan kauban ni Cristo kon magpadayon kita nga lig-on sa atong pagsalig hangtod sa kataposan.“Busa, mga minahal kong kaigsoonan, tindog kamo nga lig-on ug dili matarog. Pagkugi kamo kanunay sa inyong pag-alagad sa Ginoo kay nasayod kamo nga ang inyong pag-alagad dili gayod makawang.”(1 Corinthians 15:58)

Pagmalig-on sa pagtoo dinha sa Ginoo. Kanunay nga magtukaw ug magmaligdong. Himoong mahinungdanon nga pagkinabuhi sumala sa ebanghelyo ni Cristo aron magpabilin nga lig-on diha sa usa ka katuyoan ug nahiusa sa pagpalambo sa pagtuo diha sa ebanghelyo. “Pagbantay kamo. Pagmalig-on diha sa pagtuo. Pagmaisogon ug pagmakusganon.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

Ang lig-on ug maila nga KAHIBALo. Paghigugmaay sa tinood. Higugmaa ang matarong ug kasilagi ang daotan aron lipayon ug pasidunggan sa Dios. Paghigugma nga mapailubon ug maluluy-on, dili masinahon o tigpanghambog. Magmatinud-anon sa paghigugma sa isigkamagtutuo ug paghigugmaay sa kinasingkasing gayod. “Pagmatinud-anon kamo sa inyong paghigugma. Likayi ang daotan ug hupti ang maayo.” (Romans 12:9)

Pagtuman sa pagtulon-an. Magpalayo gikan sa tanang kaigsoonan nga nagtinapolan ug wala magtuman sa mga pagtulon-an ug pamatasan. Pagkinabuhi nga makapahimuot sa Dios apil ang kanunay nga maghandom sa mga nahaunang nagtudlo sa ebanghelyo ug tumanon ang ilang gikabilin nga pagtulon-an. “Gidayeg ko kamo kay kanunay man kamong nahinumdom kanako ug inyo mang gituman ang mga pagtulon-an nga akong gitudlo kaninyo.” (1 Corinthians 11:2).

Ang “Pagbarog nga malig-on” mao ang dili pagpahilayo sa kamatuoran sa ebanghelyo. Kung ang usa ka Kristohanon makabarog, mahimo usab siyang makagunit uban sa iyang kusog ug gahom sa Dios. Sa matag saylo sa henerasyon sa magtotoo, gikinahanglan ang pagdawat sa kamatouran gikan sa nahauna, ampingan kini pag-ayo ug paningkamotan nga dili kini mausob alang sa sunod nga modawat niini. Ang pagdawat sa pulong sa Dios

Minahal kong mga igsoon, timan-i kini! Kinahanglan nga andam kamong tanan sa pagpamati apan dili madalidalion sa pagsulti o dali nga masuko. (JAMES 1:19)

.

Ang buot ipasabot ni Pablo mao ang pagpaminaw sa pulong sa Dios--ang pagpaminaw sa pagpanudlo sa kamatuoran gikan sa tinubdan. Adunay panultihon nga nagkanayon: Ang tawo naay duha ka dalunggan apan usa ka dila; sa ingon kanunay kitang abtik maminaw ug modawat sa pagpanudlo kaysa abtik sa pagsulti.

ANG ATONG KAANDAM PAGPAMINAW. Magpakahilom ka lang. “Kon magpataka kag sulti, lagmit kang masayop. Kon maalamon ka, magpakahilom ka lang” (PROVERBS 10:19). Pagmatngon sa imong buhaton aron dili ka makasala pinaagi sa imong pagpanulti. Ayaw pagsulti samtang anaa ka duol sa daotang mga tawo. Pagmatngon usab sa imong isulti aron dili ka mahiapil sa kasamok.

Pagmalinawon sa kaugalingon. “Ang tawong nasayod sa iyang katakos dili magpunayg sulti, ug ang tawong kalma may matuod nga panabot” (PROVERBS 17:27). Ang buang magpunay lag sulti apan ang malumong mga pulong sa tawong kalmado naghatag ug kinabuhi. Kinahanglan  ipakita nato sa atong kinabuhi pagka-maalam ug masinabuton.

ANG ATONG KAHINAY NGA MASUKO. Ayaw pagpatuyang. “Ayaw patuyangi ang imong kasuko; binuang ang paghambin ug kayugot” (ECCLESIASTES 7:9). Kung sige kang masuko, dali ra sad kang masayop apan kung ikaw maalamon mopailub ka kay mas maayo ang mapailubon mas maayo usab ang makapugong sa imong kaugalingon.

Bantayi nga dili ka masuko dayon. “Apan karon sultihan ko kamo nga ang masuko bisan walay igong hinungdan. sa iyang isigkatawo dad-on ngadto sa maghuhukom ug ang maghingalag kuwanggol sa iyang isigkatawo manubag niini ngadto sa Labawng Hukmanan ug bisan kinsa nga moingon nga buang ang iyang isigkatawo malagmit nga mahiagom sa kalayo sa impiyerno” (MATTHEW 5:22). Kon masuko ka, bantayi nga dili ka makasala ug ayaw palungtara ang imong kasuko sa tibuok adlaw. Kung mahimo, biyai na lang ang kasuko ug pagkasaputon. Ang pagsige nimo ug pagdumot sa imong isigkatawo nagpakita nga ikaw usa ka mamumuno. Ug nasayod ka nga ang mamumuno wala magbaton sa kinabuhing walay kataposan.

Hunahunaa una sa dili ka pa mosulti ug hinumdumi, kitang tanan masayop apan maninguha kita nga dili masayop sa atong pagpanulti aron kita mahimong hingpit ug makahimo sa pagpugong sa atong kaugalingon.  AMEN

Ang maminaw makabaton sa pagtoo ug kinabuhi

“Busa ang pagtuo naggikan sa pagpamati sa mensahe ug ang nabati naggikan sa pulong ni Kristo.” (ROMANS 10:17)

Sa dili pa makatoo ang mga tawo, kinahanglan adunay ilang matuohan: mao kini ang pulong sa Dios nga giwali ngadto sa uban.  

.

Pagpaminaw sa pulong nga nagdala ug pagtoo. Sila mismo nakadungog. (JOHN 4:42) Kinsa ni sila? Ang Samaritanhong lungsod nga naduaw ni Jesus kaniadto. Nadunggan nila nga si Jesus mao ang moluwas sa iyang katawhan gikan sa ilang mga sala (Mt 1:21) ug siya mao ang gipadala sa Amahan ug ilang gidawat ang iyang mensahe gikan sa Amahan (John 17:8). Siya mao ang kahayag sa tanang nasod sa kalibutan (Isaiah 49:6). Giingnan nila ang babaye, “Mituo na kami karon dili na tungod sa imong gisulti kondili tungod kay kami mismo nakadungog kaniya ug nasayod kami nga siya mao gayod ang Manluluwas sa kalibotan.” Busa, “tinuod nga angay dawaton sa hingpit ang giingon nga si mianhi si Jesus sa kalibutan aron sa pagluwas sa mga nakasala (1 timothy 1:15)

Sila mismo nagsangyaw ngadto sa uban (JOHN 17:20). Kinsa na pod ni sila? Ang mga disipolo o mga apostoles. Gisugilon nila ang ilang nakita ug nadungog aron uban kanila, mahiusa kita sa Amahan ug sa iyang Anak nga si Jesu-Kristo. Gisulat nila ang saysay aron mahingpit gayod ang atong kalipay (1 JOHN 1:3). Nakita nila ni Jesus ug nanugilon sila nga gipadala sa Amahan ang iyang Anak isip Manluluwas sa kalibotan (1 JOHN 4:14) ug kadtong namati sa ilang mga pagsangyaw nakabaton ug pagtoo (ROMANS 10:17).

Pagpaminaw sa pulong nga nagdala ug KINABUHI. Si Jesus lamang ang nagtudlo mahitungod sa kinabuhi nga walay kataposan alang sa tanang katawhan (JOHN 6:68) Ang Espiritu Santo mao ang nagahatag sa kinabuhi. Ang tawo dili makahimo niini. Ang gisulti ni Jesu-Kristo kanato gikan sa Espiritu Santo nga nagahatag sa kinabuhi (JOHN 6:63). Ug kini mao ang kinabuhing dayon: nga ang mga tawo moila kanimo nga mao ang bugtong matuod nga Dios ug kang Jesu-Cristo nga gipadala sa Amahan (JOHN 17:3). Busa atong obligasyon ang pagsultihi ngadto sa tanang mga tawo mahitungod sa bag-ong kinabuhi diha ni Kristo (ACTS 5:20).

Si Jesus nagsulti sa gipadayag kaniya sa Amahan (JOHN 8:38) Iyang gisulti ang iyang nahibaloan ug nagmatuod siya sa iyang nakita gikan sa Amahan (JOHN 3:11),

Siya walay mahimo sa iyang kaugalingon. Nagbuhat lamang siya sa nakita niya nga gibuhat sa iyang Amahan. Ang gibuhat sa Amahan, gibuhat usab ni Jesus (JOHN 5:19).

Si Pablo nangutana dinha sa iyang sulat: nadawat ba ninyo ang Espiritu sa Dios pinaagi sa pagtuman sa Balaod o pinaagi ba sa pagpamati ug pagtuo sa Maayong Balita? (GALATIANS 3:2). Ang tubag mao kini: Ang pagtuo naggikan sa pagpamati sa mensahe ug ang nabati naggikan sa pulong ni Cristo (ROMANS 10:17) kay walay mahimong matarong atubangan sa Dios pinaagi sa pagtuman sa Balaod. Ang mahimo lamang sa Balaod mao ang pagpaila sa tawo nga siya nakasala (ROMANS 3:20). Ug mao usab kini ang midangat kanato: sa pagkadungog nato sa matuod nga mensahe sa Maayong Balita nga naghatag kanatog kaluwasan, mituo kita kang Cristo. Busa gipatikan kita sa Dios pinaagi sa paghatag kanato  sa Espiritu Santo nga iyang gisaad, timaan nga kita iya na (EPHESIANS 1:13). Ug mao nga ang Dios Amahan mismo nahigugma kanato. Nahigugma siya kanato kay nahigugma man kita kang Kristo ug mituo nga Siya gikan sa Dios (JOHN 16:27). Ang modawat sa mga sugo ni Kristo ug magtuman niini mao ang nahigugma kaniya . Ang Amahan mahigugma kaniya nga nahigugma sa iyang anak (JOHN 14:21). AMEN

Ang Kristohanon nga makigdaiton

“Bulahan ang naningkamot nga managdait ang katawhan kay isipon sila sa Dios nga iyang mga anak! (MATTHEW 5:9)

Niining atoang nagkaguliyang nga katilingban karon, ang Kristohanon angay nga padayong maningkamot sa pakigdait ngadto sa uban aron nga mahimong agianan alang sa kalooy, pagtahod ug kalinaw gikan sa Dios.

MGA KRISTOHANONG MALINAWON. Ang sulugoon sa Ginoo kinahanglan dili mangaway, maluluy-on siya sa tanan, maayo nga magtutudlo ug mapailubon (2 TIMOTHY 2:24)

Ang sulugoon sa Ginoo kinahanglan mahimong panig-ingnan ang kaugalingong pagkinabuhi ngadto sa uban pinaagi sa pagpugong sa sobrang pag-inom ug bino, dili siya palahubog ug dili palaaway kondili malumo ug makigdaiton. Gawas niini, kinahanglan dili siya nawong ug kuwarta (1 TIMOTHY 3:3)

Ang sulugoon sa Ginoo kinahanglan matinud-anon sa iyang paghigugma ngadto sa uban, molikay paghimo sa daotan ngadto sa iyang silingan ug kanunay nga naghupot sa maayong gawi (ROMANS 12:9)

MGA KRISTOHANONG MAKIGDAITON. ng Kristohanon maningkamot kutob sa mahimo sa  pagpakigdait sa tanang tawo nga walay pagpihig (ROMANS 12:18)

Ang Kristohanon naningkamot sa pakigdait sa tanang tawo ug sa pagkinabuhi nga balaan kay gawas niini walay makakita sa Ginoo (HEBREW 12:14)

Ang Kristohanon kanunay nga naningkamot sa pag-andam sa pagpamati apan dili madalidalion sa pagsulti o dali nga masuko (SANTIAGO 1:19)

Ang mga Kristohanong alagad sa Dios kinahanglan nga kanunay magduso sa kalinaw, maghilom ug mouna sa pagbugto sa kagubot tali sa mga nagsumpaki nga katawhan. Niini, moangkon ang Dios kanato nga iyang tinud nga mga anak tungod kay naglihok sa iyang mga hiyas ug kini nagpaila nga kita isisp iyang mga anak, gipadala sa Dios ang Espiritu sa iyang Anak nganhi sa atong kasingkasing, ang Espiritu nga nagtuaw, “Amahan ko!” (GALATIANS 4:6). Ang Kristohanong pagkamatarong mao ang bunga sa binhi nga gipugas sa mga makigdaiton diha sa kalinaw (JAMES 3:18) . AMEN

Pagdawat sa pagpanudlo ug pagpanudlo usab ngadto sa uban

“Ug ang mga butang nga imong nadungog gikan kanako sa atubangan sa daghang mga saksi, kinahanglan ipiyal mo kini ngadto sa kasaligan nga mga tawo nga may katakus sa pagpanudlo sa uban usab.” (2 Timothy  2:2)

Gisulti ni Pablo ngadto ni Timoteo nga ipiyal niya ang natun-ang ebanghelyo gikan sa apostol ngadto sa mga matinud-anon ug kasaligang mga tawo nga adunay kahibalo sa pagpalabang sa istorya ug papanudlo. Ang kalampusan unya niini anaa sa pagdihog sa Diyos kanila.

UNANG IKINABUHI SA GIWALI NIMO NGADTO SA UBAN. Sundon ang mga panig-ingnan sa matuod nga mga pagtulon-an nga gipangtudlo ngadto sa kaugalingon gikan sa ubang magtutudlo ug magpabilin diha sa pagtuo ug gugma nga nadawat tungod sa pagkahiusa diha kang Cristo Jesus. (2 TIMOTHY 1:13)

Magpabilin diha sa mga kamatuoran nga nadawat ug gipangtudlo gikan sa mga nahauna ug hugot nga tuohan kay nailhan man ang nagtudlo nga usa usab ka matinud-anong Kristohanon. (2 Timothy 3:14)

SUNOD NGA ISANGYAW ANG NADUNGOG GIKAN SA UBAN. Tudloan ang ubang magtotoo sa pagtuman sa tanan nga gisugo ni Kristo kanato. Ug atong hinumdoman nga ang atong Ginoo mag-uban kanato sa kanunay hangtod sa kataposan sa kalibotan. (MATTHEW 28:20)

Dawaton ug tahuron ang gisugo sa mga nahauna kanato ug gamiton ang ilang mga pagdasig alang sa atong kaugalingong pagpakigbisog diha sa tinuoray nga pakig-away. (1 TIMOTHY 1:18)

Kung naghulat kita ug bunga, kinahanglan maghago kita ug buhaton ang kabubut-on sa Diyos ayha nato madawat ang iyang mga saad. Niini, gikinahanglan usab ang pailob ug pag-ampo alang sa uban nga hatagan sila sa Ginoo sa maayong panabot sa tanang butang ug kita nga nahamtong ug una sa pagtoo, mudasig ug mohikap sa ilang kinabuhi aron masayod usab sila ug mohinuklog sa ilang nadungog nga mga pagwali ug nabasahan gikan sa pulong sa Diyos. Kinahanglan usab nato nga makig-ambit sa mga pag-antos ingon nga maayong sundalo ni Cristo Jesus (2 timothy 2:3). AMEN

Ang nakasala sa sala nga wala buhata

“Busa ang tawo nga nasayod unsay maayo nga buhaton apan wala magbuhat niini, nakasala” (James 4:17)  

Kung kita adunay kasayuran sa angay buhaton nga uyon sa kabubut-on sa Dios ug kini atong nabasa sa iyang pulong apan wala nato buhata, kini alang kanato usa ka dako-dako nga sala tungod kay kita nagbinurong sa paghimo unsay maayo ug mas gipalabi pa nato ang paghimo sa daotan.

ADUNA KITAY KASAYURAN APAN NAPAKYAS SA PAGHIMO. Sama kini sa sulugoon nga nasayod unsa ang buot ipabuhat kaniya sa iyang agalon apan wala mag-andam ug wala magtuman sa gipabuhat hinungdan nga latoson gayod siya sa makadaghan. (LUKE 12:47)

Kung nasayod kita sa atong tinguha sa dugang lamdag ug kahibalo bahin ni Ginoong Hesukristo, anaa pa kitay purohan nga mapasaylo ug makabaton ug paglaom. Sama kini sa giingon ni Pablo sa 1 Timothy 1:13 bahin sa iyang kaugalingon: “Kaniadto ako siyang gipasipad-an, gilutos ug gibugalbugalan apan ang Dios naluoy kanako kay dili pa man ako magtutuo ug wala ako masayod sa akong gibuhat.”   Apan kung nagtoo kita ug moingon nga maalamon na gyod kita ug nahibalo sa tanan, ug wala na nagkinahanglan ug dugang lamdag, sa atong pagkagahi ug ulo kita lamang usab ang nagsira sa atong mga mata sa kamatuoran ug ang atong sala nagapabilin kanato. Nagpabilin kita nga walay pagtoo ni Ginoong Hesukristo ug tungod niini nakasala kita sa Espirito Santo—usa ka sala nga dili mapasaylo. “ Si Jesus mitubag, “Kon buta pa kamo, wala unta kamoy sala. Apan kay nag-ingon man kamo nga makakita kamo, sa ato pa, sad-an kamo.” (John 9:40)

Ang pagka-ignorante sa usa ka tawo bahin kang Ginoong Hesukristo dili mahimong ipamalibad tungod kay miabot Siya dinhi sa kalibutan ug gisangyaw lukop tanang lugar. Kung wala pa, pwede tingali mangaliyupo sa pagkaburong bahin Kaniya ug sa buhing Dios. Uban niining maong pagka-ignorante mao ang pagka-walay pagtoo ug pagpadayon sa pagbuhat sa daotan. “Dili unta sila makasala kon wala pa ako moanhi ug mosulti kanila. Apan karon dili na sila makaingon nga wala silay sala.” (JOHN 15:22)

ADUNA KITAY KASAYURAN APAN NAPAKYAS SA PAGTOO.

Mas may paglaom pa ang labing buang nga tawo kay kaniya nga naghunahuna nga siya maalamon bisag dili tinuod (PROVERBS 26:12)

Pagkaalaot sa tawo ng nagdumili sa pagtoo ni Ginoong Hesukrito kay sumala sa kasulatan ang mga milagro nga nahimo ug nakita nila, nahimo ug nakita usab sa uban ug mas abtik pa sila sa pag-amgo ug naghinulsol sa ilang mga sala (MATTHEW 11:21).

Sukad nabuhat sa Dios ang kalibotan tin-aw kaayo nga nakita diha sa mga butang nga gibuhat sa Dios ang iyang dili makita nga mga kinaiya nga mao ang iyang gahom nga walay kataposan ug ang iyang pagka-Dios. Busa wala nay ikapangatarongan kadtong dili gayod motoo Kaniya (romans 1:20)

Ang pagkahibalo sa  kabubut-on sa Dios dili maghatag kanato ug dugang kabulahanan sa kinabuhi kung ang atoang kinabuhi dili manubag niini ug mas mobug-at pa hinoon ang timbang sa atoang mga sala kay anaay angay pagabuhaton apan wala nato buhata ug ang gibuhat ang sala hinoon, kini usa criminal nga sala ug adunay dakong silot nga gahulat. AMEN 

Pagtipig ug mga bahandi sa langit

“Ayaw kamo pagtigom ug mga bahandi alang sa inyong kaugalingon dinhi sa yuta kay tay-an lamang kini ug kutkuton sa anay o kawaton usab sa mga kawatan. Pagtigom hinuon ug mga bahandi alang sa inyong kaugalingon didto sa langit diin walay taya ug anay nga makakutkot niini ug walay mga kawatan nga makakawat niini kay hain gani ang inyong bahandi atua usab didto ang inyong kasingkasing.” (Matthew 6:19-21)

Kawad-on ug pagka walay klaro ang mahitabo kung ang atong pangandoy mao ang kalibotanong mga bahandi. Itukod hinoon nato ang atong kalipay sa mas klaro nga pundasyon diin walay pagkataya ug pagkawala ang mahitabo sa atong matigom nga bahandi tungod sa malahutayong gahom ug gugma ni Kristo.

PAGTIGOM UG BAHANDI ALANG SA KAUGALINGON. Adunay mga tawo nga nakadungog sa mensahe sa Dios apan ang mga kabalaka bahin niining kinabuhia ug ang gugma alang sa mga bahandi ang mipatigbabaw kay sa mensahe sa ebanghelyo hinungdan nga dili makabunga ang binhi nga pulong sa Dios nga gipugas sa iyang mga alagad. Sama kini sa mga binhi nga nahulog sa dapit sa mga tunokon nga sagbot (MATTHEW 13:22).

Ang tawo usahay moingon sa iyang kaugalingon nga magtigum siya ug daghang abot ug mga kabtangan ug maghunahuna nga anaa na niya ang tanang mga butang nga iyang gikinahanglan alang sa daghang katuigan ug magtoo siya nga magpahayahay na lang siya pinaagi sa pagkaon, inom ug paglipay. Unya sa kalit lang mamatay siya ug wala mahibaloi kinsay makapanag-iya sa tanang butang nga iyang gitigom alang sa iyang kaugalingon (LUKAS 12:20).

Ang pagpanigom ug bahandi (bulawan o salapi) mahimong katayaan ug kining maong taya mahimo pang saksi batok kanato ug sama sa kalayo magakutkot sa atong lawas. Ang atong pagtigom ug mga bahandi wala na mahaom kay ania na kita sa kataposang mga adlaw (SANTIAGO 5:3).

PAGTIGOM UG BAHANDI SA LANGIT. Mas maanindot ang pagbaton ug igo lamang nga katigayonan, paghatag ngadto sa mga nanginahanglan o mga kabos uban ang pagtugyan sa kaugalingon alang sa pag-alagad ni Kristo. Niini, kita mahingpit, sama sa gisugo ni Hesus niadtong batan-on nga dato, “lakaw ug ibaligya ang tanan mong katigayonan. Ihatag ang halin ngadto sa mga kabos ug makabaton kag mga bahandi didto sa langit. Unya balik nganhi ug sunod kanako” (MATTHEW 19:21).

Ania ang pasalig sa atong Ginoo: Dili kita angay nga mahadlok o mabalaka kay ang atong Dios Amahan nahimuot sa paghatag kanato sa tanan. Kinahanglan lamang nga magsangkap kitag mga puntil nga dili madunot ug magtigom ug mga bahandi didto sa langit kay kung hain gani ang atong bahandi atua usab didto ang atong kasingkasing (LUKAS 12:32)

Padayon nato nga ibutang atong paglaom diha kang Ginooong Hesukristo, usa ka paglaom nga dili matarog uban ang  panulondon nga dili madunot o mahugaw o mahanaw. Busa padayon kita sa pagkalipay bisan tuod sa mga pag-antos karon uban sa daghang mga pagsulay (1 PETER 1:3-6).

Ang insakto ug tarong nga kinaiya sa bahandi maoy magtudlo kanato sa tinuod nga espirituhanon mga hiyas. Atong timan-an nga ang materialismo mag-ulipon lamang sa atong panghunahuna ug kabubut-on kung palabihon nato ang kalibutanon kaysa langitnong mga bahandi. AMEN.
